The Translation

“Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus to Hrishikesha (Krishna), Gudakesha (Arjuna), the scorcher of enemies, said to Govinda, 'I will not fight,' and became silent.”

Commentary & Insights

Sanjaya reports Arjuna's final actions before the teaching begins. Having explained his grief and surrendered himself, Arjuna makes one last statement of his choice: na yotsye (I will not fight). He then falls silent (tūṣṇīm babhūva), awaiting Krishna's response.

Practical Application
1

If you are resisting a necessary duty, notice the silent resistance in your mind and gently bring your attention back to the task.
