“The great warriors will believe that you retreated from the battle out of fear, and you will fall from high esteem to insignificance in their eyes.”

Great warriors like Duryodhana and Karna will not think you retreated out of compassion for your relatives; they will only think you ran away to save your life, destroying your reputation.
