भयाद्रणादुपरतं मंस्यन्ते त्वां महारथाः | येषां त्वं बहुमतो भूत्वा यास्यसि लाघवम् ||२-३५||
bhayādraṇāduparataṃ maṃsyante tvāṃ mahārathāḥ . yeṣāṃ ca tvaṃ bahumato bhūtvā yāsyasi lāghavam ||2-35||

The Translation

“The great warriors will believe that you retreated from the battle out of fear, and you will fall from high esteem to insignificance in their eyes.”

Krishna notes that the great generals of both armies will assume Arjuna fled the battlefield out of fear rather than compassion, causing him to fall in their estimation.
