Verse 2.3 : Sankhya Yoga "Transcendental Knowledge"
Verse 3 of 72
“
The Translation
“Do not yield to this unmanliness, O Partha (son of Pritha), for it does not become you. Cast off this petty weakness of heart and arise, O vanquisher of foes!”
Commentary & Insights
Krishna continues his rebuke, using even stronger language. He commands Arjuna: klaibyaṃ mā sma gamaḥ (do not yield to impotence or unmanliness). He calls Arjuna's grief kṣudraṃ hṛdaya-daurbalyaṃ (petty weakness of heart) and urges him to cast it off, pick up his bow, and stand up (uttiṣṭha).

Self-Reflection Prompts
- Where in your life are you currently experiencing 'paralysis by analysis' or fear of action? What is the first small step you can take to arise?
- Reflect on the phrase 'petty weakness of heart.' How does it change your perspective to view your anxiety or fear as temporary and small, rather than defining?
