“For one who is born, death is certain; and for one who dies, birth is certain. Therefore, you should not grieve over the inevitable.”

जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च
For one who is born, death is inevitable because birth is a cause that must produce its effect. Similarly, death leads to birth according to the store of karma. Grieving for this natural wheel of life (Samsara-chakra) is a sign of delusion.
