Verse 2.10 : Sankhya Yoga "Transcendental Knowledge"
Verse 10 of 72
“
The Translation
“O descendant of Bharata (Dhritarashtra), in the midst of both the armies, Hrishikesha (Krishna), smiling as it were, spoke these words to the grieving Arjuna.”
Commentary & Insights
Krishna begins to speak. He is standing in the middle of the two armies (senayor ubhayor madhye), and He is smiling (prahasanniva). While Arjuna is in tears and deep despair, Krishna is smiling because He knows that Arjuna's crisis is temporary and is the door to his enlightenment. Krishna's smile is full of compassion, confidence, and wisdom.
Practical Application
1
When others are stressed or in crisis around you, offer a calm, steadying presence and a gentle smile to de-escalate the tension.
