“Treating alike pleasure and pain, gain and loss, victory and defeat, engage in battle for the sake of battle. By doing so, you shall never incur sin.”

सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ
When you fight with this attitude of equanimity, purely as a duty, you do not accumulate any personal karma. Sin is caused by attachment and aversion; free from them, action does not bind.
