Self-Reflection Prompts
- What is the 'divine eye' (*divya-cakṣu*)? How is it related to the opening of the third eye or spiritual intuition that sees past the surface of physical matter?
- If we cannot see the wind or ultraviolet light with our normal eyes, how much more must the source of all energy require a 'divine eye' to be perceived?

11.8
न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टुमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा
The physical eyes are made of material elements and can only see limited physical objects. The 'divine eye' is the purified intellect (Sattva-buddhi) that is capable of grasping the non-dual, cosmic reality of Brahman. The Lord opens this eye of wisdom by dispelling the darkness of ego.
