Self-Reflection Prompts
- Why does Arjuna request the four-armed form (caturbhuja) specifically? What does this form symbolize in terms of cosmic balance and peace?
- How does this request show that while we might appreciate the vastness of the absolute, we ultimately need a personal, structured way to relate to the sacred?

किरीटिनं गदिनं चक्रहस्तं
इच्छामि त्वां द्रष्टुमहं तथैव
Arjuna wishes to see the Lord in the familiar form of Vishnu, which is gentle and easy to contemplate. The thousand arms represent the macrocosmic form, whereas the four-armed form represents the microcosmic form adapted for devotion.
