Self-Reflection Prompts
- If God is both the 'knower' (vettā) and the 'object of knowledge' (vedya), then who is the one doing the seeking, and what are they seeking? How does this point to the unity of consciousness?
- What does it mean to say the universe is 'pervaded' (tatam) by the Divine? How does this change how we view everyday objects and nature?

11.38
त्वमादिदेवः पुरुषः पुराणस्-
त्वमस्य विश्वस्य परं निधानम्
The Lord is the 'vettā' (the Knower) because He is the self-luminous consciousness that illumines all objects of perception. He is 'vedya' because He is the ultimate goal to be realized through self-knowledge. He is the 'param dhāma', the supreme state of liberation free from all duality.
