Self-Reflection Prompts
- Why is it important to ask for forgiveness when we realize we have treated sacred things with casual disrespect? How does this practice of apology soften the ego?
- Krishna is called 'Achyuta' (the infallible or slip-free one) while Arjuna is full of slips and errors. How does this contrast highlight the relationship between human limitation and divine perfection?

11.42
यच्चावहासार्थमसत्कृतोऽसि
विहारशय्यासनभोजनेषु
Arjuna is begging for pardon from the Lord who is 'aprameyam'—whose power and nature cannot be measured by any standard. The Lord, being the inner self, is always forgiving, but the act of asking for forgiveness is necessary to purify Arjuna's mind from the guilt of past casualness.
