Self-Reflection Prompts
- If there is none 'equal' to the Divine (na tvat-samaḥ), how does this protect us from worshiping limited, human authorities or concepts as absolute truths?
- How is God the ultimate 'venerable Guru' (gurus garīyān)? How do we access this inner teacher in our daily lives?

11.43
पितासि लोकस्य चराचरस्य
त्वमस्य पूज्यश्च गुरुर्गरीयान्
The Lord is the progenitor (pitā) of all beings. He is the guru because He first taught the Vedas to Brahma. Since Brahman is one without a second, there cannot be anything equal to It, let alone superior. Any appearance of power in others is merely a reflection of the Lord's power.
