The Translation
“Therefore, bowing down and prostrating my body, I seek Your grace, O adorable Lord! As a father forgives his son, a friend his friend, and a lover his beloved, so please, O Lord, bear with me and forgive my errors.”

तस्मात्प्रणम्य प्रणिधाय कायं
प्रसादये त्वामहमीशमीड्यम्
By prostrating the body, Arjuna surrenders his ego. He requests the Lord to overlook all his past disrespectful or casual behaviors. The Lord, being the internal witness, knows Arjuna's heart is pure, and will forgive him just as parents, friends, and partners forgive minor errors.
