Self-Reflection Prompts
- Why does Arjuna repeat 'salutations' (namo namaste) so many times? What does this teach us about the ecstatic state of devotion where words fail and only repetition remains?
- Calling God the 'Great-Grandfather' (prapitāmahaḥ) implies a deep lineage of consciousness. How does this help us feel connected to an ancient, loving heritage?

11.39
वायुर्यमोऽग्निर्वरुणः शशाङ्कः
प्रजापतिस्त्वं प्रपितामहश्च
The Lord is the father of Brahma, hence He is 'prapitāmahaḥ'. Since He is the self of all deities like Vayu and Agni, bowing to Him is bowing to all. The repetition of bowing expresses the height of Arjuna's wonder and devotional ecstasy.
