नाहं वेदैर्न तपसा दानेन चेज्यया | शक्य एवंविधो द्रष्टुं दृष्टवानसि मां यथा ||११-५३||
nāhaṃ vedairna tapasā na dānena na cejyayā . śakya evaṃvidho draṣṭuṃ dṛṣṭavānasi māṃ yathā ||11-53||

The Translation

“Neither by the study of the Vedas, nor by penance, nor by charity, nor by ritualistic worship can I be seen in this form as you have seen Me.”

Commentary & Insights

Krishna repeats His declaration that study, penance, charity, and rituals are insufficient on their own to grant the vision of the ultimate, cosmic reality.
