The Translation

“All the sons of Dhritarashtra, along with the hosts of allied kings, Bhishma, Drona, and also Karna, together with the chief warriors of our own side...”

Commentary & Insights

Krishna grants Arjuna's wish to see the future of the war. In the Cosmic Form, Arjuna sees the key warriors of both sides already being consumed by the jaws of destiny.

Practical Application
1

Reflect on the temporary nature of your current conflicts today. Ask yourself: 'Will this matter in five years?' Let go of any petty grievances based on this perspective.

Self-Reflection Prompts
  • How does seeing Bhishma, Drona, and Duryodhana already 'dead' in the cosmic time loop alter Arjuna's view of his own role in the war? (Sages note: He realizes he is merely an instrument; the destruction is already decided by Time.)
  • Why is Karna addressed as 'Sutaputra' (son of the charioteer) here? How does this remind us of the tragic social identities of the epic?
