The Translation

“In the presence of Bhishma, Drona, and all the rulers of the earth, Krishna said: Behold, O Partha (Arjuna), these Kurus assembled here.”

Commentary & Insights

Krishna places the chariot directly in front of Bhishma and Dronacharya, the two most respected figures in Arjuna's life. He then utters a simple but powerful command: "Behold, O Partha, these Kurus assembled here." Krishna does not point to Duryodhana or the evil-doers; he directs Arjuna's gaze to the collective family (Kurun).

Practical Application
1

Face the reality of a difficult situation directly today, without hiding behind denial or wishful thinking.

Self-Reflection Prompts
  • Why do you think Krishna chose to point out 'the Kurus' (relatives) instead of 'the enemies' to Arjuna?
  • When faced with difficult choices, do you avoid looking at the core attachments that make the decision painful? What happens when you face them directly?
