“so that I may behold those who stand here eager to fight, and with whom I must contend in this great battle.”

यावदेतान्निरीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकामानवस्थितान्
Arjuna's desire to inspect the army shows his warrior pride. He wants to see who dares to stand against his mighty bow, unaware that the Lord is about to teach him humility.
