The Translation
“Sanjaya said: O descendant of Bharata (Dhritarashtra), having been thus addressed by Gudakesha (Arjuna), Hrishikesha (Krishna) drove that magnificent chariot between the two armies.”
Commentary & Insights
Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that Sri Krishna complied with Arjuna's request. He uses the names Gudakesha (Arjuna, meaning 'one who has conquered sleep/ignorance') and Hrishikesha (Krishna, 'the master of the senses'). Krishna drives the magnificent chariot (rathottamam) and parks it right in the middle of the two massive armies.
