“For one who has conquered the mind and attained tranquility, the Supreme Self is fully realized and calm in cold and heat, pleasure and pain, honor and dishonor.”

When the lower mind is quieted, the individual soul (Jivatman) recognizes its true nature as the Supreme Self (Paramatman). Like space, it remains unaffected by the weather, body sensations, or opinions of others.
