“In that birth, they regain the spiritual consciousness of their past life, O descendant of Kuru, and they strive even harder for perfection.”

तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम्
The spiritual impressions (samskaras) are stored in the causal body, which survives death. In the new body, these impressions wake up as a natural inclination toward truth and a distaste for worldly agitations.
