The Translation
“For one whose mind is uncontrolled, self-realization is difficult to attain, in My opinion. But one whose mind is controlled and who strives by proper means can achieve it.”

असंयतात्मना योगो दुष्प्राप इति मे मतिः
Proper means (Upaya) include scriptural study, practice of detachment, and meditation under the guidance of a Guru. Striving blindly without these correct tools will only exhaust the seeker.
