नात्यश्नतस्तु योगोऽस्ति न चैकान्तमनश्नतः
Extreme fasting weakens the organs of perception and action, preventing concentration. Overeating creates lethargy (Tamas) and disease. The Yogi must choose the middle path of moderation to keep the body cooperative.
