Self-Reflection Prompts
- Why does Krishna define Yoga as a 'separation' (disunion from pain)? What are we currently united with that causes us distress?
- When your meditation or self-improvement efforts seem slow, how do you maintain a 'non-depressed mind' (*anirviṇṇa-cetasā*) to keep going?

6.23
तं विद्याद् दुःखसंयोगवियोगं योगसंज्ञितम्
Yoga is the state of resting in the Self. Since the Self is pure bliss, this state is naturally free from any touch of pain. Practicing it requires patience, like emptying the ocean drop by drop with a blade of grass, without getting discouraged.
