The Translation

“When the mind, quieted by the practice of Yoga, attains stillness, and when seeing the Self by the Self, one finds satisfaction in the Self alone;”

Commentary & Insights

Krishna describes the state of Samadhi, where the mind is completely stilled through yoga practice, and one beholds the Self by the Self and rejoices within.

Practical Application
1

Spend 5 minutes in absolute silence today: close your eyes, let go of all tasks, and simply appreciate the quiet joy of being alive.

Self-Reflection Prompts

  • How can the mind become the instrument to perceive its own true source (the Atman)?
