Self-Reflection Prompts
- The thunderbolt (*Vajra*) was created from the bones of Sage Dadhichi, who sacrificed his life for the protection of the world. How does this connect ultimate power with ultimate sacrifice?
- Krishna identifies with Kandarpa (the god of love) as the force of procreation. How does this show that natural desires, when aligned with the continuation of life, are sacred rather than sinful?

10.28
आयुधानामहं वज्रं धेनूनामस्मि कामधुक्
The Vajra is the weapon of Indra, which is unmatched in power. Kamadhuk is the celestial cow that yields all desires. Kandarpa is the sexual desire that causes the birth of offspring (excluding lust that goes against dharma). Vasuki is the king of serpents. These represent the Peak of power and creation.
