Self-Reflection Prompts
- The Gayatri Mantra is chanted to request the Divine to illuminate our intellect. How does this connect with the Lord's earlier promise to 'dispel darkness with the lamp of wisdom'?
- Spring (*Kusumakara*) is the season of renewal. How can we use the energy of Spring in our lives to start fresh and let new spiritual flowers bloom?

10.35
बृहत्साम तथा साम्नां गायत्री छन्दसामहम्
Brihat-sama is the chief chant that leads to liberation. Gayatri is the most sacred meter because the Gayatri Mantra is the entry point of spiritual initiation (dwija status). Margashirsha was the month of harvest in ancient India when food was plentiful. Spring is the season of beauty and balance, representing the glorious abundance of Brahman.
