Self-Reflection Prompts
- Why is the mind (*manaḥ*) considered the chief of senses? How can we offer our thoughts as a temple to the Divine mind?
- Consciousness (*cetanā*) is what allows you to read and understand these words. How does it feel to realize that this very capacity of awareness is God's direct energy inside you?

10.22
वेदानां सामवेदोऽस्मि देवानामस्मि वासवः
The Sama Veda is praised because of its musical nature. The mind is the king of senses; without it, the eyes and ears cannot function. Consciousness (cetana) is the reflection of the Self in the intellect (buddhi) that animates the physical body. These are direct windows to Brahman.
