“Among the Daityas (demons) I am Prahlada; among calculators I am Time; among wild beasts I am the Lion; and among birds I am Garuda (the vehicle of Vishnu).”

If you are in a difficult environment or situation today, act like Prahlada: keep your inner focus anchored in peace, independent of the chaos around you.

Self-Reflection Prompts
- Prahlada was born in a demoniac family, yet became the highest devotee. How does this show that our external environment and lineage cannot stop our inner spiritual growth?
- Time (*kāla*) is described as the ultimate subduer. How can we use the understanding of Time's power to live in the present moment rather than hoarding for a temporary future?

प्रह्लादश्चास्मि दैत्यानां कालः कलयतामहम्
Prahlada represents the triumph of devotion over heritage. Time is the measurer of all change and the consumer of all things. The Lion represents majesty and courage. Garuda represents the speed of thought in service of the Lord. Worshipping these qualities leads to the witness of all change.
