Self-Reflection Prompts
- The letter 'A' is the beginning of all language. How does pronouncing 'A' (which starts from the throat without lips touching) show the starting point of consciousness?
- In a Dvandva compound, both words are equal partners. How does this promote a balanced view of opposites (like joy and sorrow) in our daily lives?

10.33
अक्षराणामकारोऽस्मि द्वन्द्वः सामासिकस्य च
As declared in the Upanishads, 'A' is the essence of all speech. In the Dvandva compound, both nouns retain their equal importance (unlike Tatpurusha or Bahuvrihi compounds where one is subordinate), representing the equal reality of all parts of the Divine. Infinite time is the Lord's essential nature, which outlives all creations.
