Self-Reflection Prompts
- Why does Krishna repeat Himself throughout the Gita? How does repetition help sink profound truths from the intellectual head down into the practical heart?
- How does the concept of God speaking purely for our 'welfare' (*hita-kāmyā*) alter the way you receive scriptural teachings?

10.1
श्रीभगवानुवाच
The Lord repeats these teachings to make the understanding firm. Arjuna is 'priyamanaya' because he finds joy in listening to Krishna's words, which are like nectar. This eagerness makes him the ideal vessel for receiving the highest truth of Brahman.
