Self-Reflection Prompts
- How is 'identifying with the ego' a form of self-destruction (na hinasty ātmanātmānaṃ)? How does self-compassion start with seeing our inner divinity?
- If you see the same Lord in a person who is acting aggressively or rudely, how does this help you respond with steady strength instead of reactive anger?

13.29
समं पश्यन्हि सर्वत्र समवस्थितमीश्वरम्
The ignorant person kills the Self by identifying with the body, which leads to repeated births and deaths. The wise person, seeing the one Atman everywhere, drops this false identification. They no longer hurt themselves with thoughts of limitation, and thus reach the highest state of liberation.
