Self-Reflection Prompts
- How does 'attachment to qualities' (guṇa-saṅgaḥ) create future habits and bindings? How can we break these attachments in our daily lives?
- If the soul itself is ever-pure, how can it take birth in 'good and evil wombs'? What is it that actually transmigrates?

13.22
पुरुषः प्रकृतिस्थो हि भुङ्क्ते प्रकृतिजान्गुणान्
The Atman is ever-free. But when It identifies with the intellect and mind (Prakriti), It appears to enjoy pleasure and pain. The attachment to these sensory experiences (guṇa-saṅgaḥ) is the seed of ignorance that forces the soul to take different bodies, from celestial beings down to plants, to experience the fruits of its karma.
