“Understand Me to be the Knower of the field in all fields, O Bharata. The knowledge of the field and the knower of the field is what I consider to be true knowledge.”

Krishna makes a profound non-dual declaration, stating that the witnessing consciousness inside all individual bodies and minds is one and the same—the Divine Self.
Practical Application

When interacting with a difficult colleague today, look past their arguments (the field) and connect with the shared human awareness (the knower) within them.

Self-Reflection Prompts
- If the same Knower (Kshetrajna) is present in all bodies, what does this tell us about the connection between you and another person? How does this redefine empathy?
- Why does Krishna say that knowing both the field and the knower is 'true knowledge'? How does this balance science (study of the field) with spirituality (study of the knower)?

क्षेत्रज्ञं चापि मां विद्धि सर्वक्षेत्रेषु भारत
This is the core of Advaita (non-duality). The individual knower (Jivatma) is in reality identical with the supreme Lord (Paramatma). The apparent division is caused by the limitation of the body-mind (Upadhi). When this illusion is removed by knowledge, only the one, undivided Brahman remains.
