श्रीभगवानुवाच
The body, consisting of the senses, mind, and intellect, is called 'Kshetra' because it is subject to decay (kṣata) and it protects the soul (trāṇa) from external experiences, or because we reap our karma in it. The Knower is the self-luminous consciousness that witnesses all changes in this body, from head to toe, without being affected by them.
