Self-Reflection Prompts
- Rajas is described as 'thirst' (tṛṣṇā). How is our modern, consumerist society built on stimulating Rajas? How can we find contentment instead of endless running?
- What is the difference between healthy, creative work and the 'attachment to action' (karma-saṅga) that creates stress and burnout?

रजो रागात्मकं विद्धि तृष्णासङ्गसमुद्भवम्
Rajas is the source of desire for pleasures of the senses. It drives a person to perform actions with the feeling of 'I must do this to get that fruit.' This attachment to actions and their results creates binding karma, forcing the soul to take new births to experience those results.
