The Translation
“That fortitude (Dhriti) by which a foolish person does not abandon sleep, fear, grief, depression, and vanity, O Partha, is in the mode of ignorance (Tamasic).”

Krishna defines Tamasic fortitude. This represents a perverted, stubborn willpower that is used not to build or grow, but to maintain negative habits and resist change, trapping the individual in ignorance.

यया स्वप्नं भयं शोकं विषादं मदमेव च
