Self-Reflection Prompts
- What does it mean to 'abandon all dharmas' (*sarva-dharmān parityajya*)? Does it mean becoming lawless, or rising above the dualities of ritual and rule-based morality into pure love?
- How does the final command 'do not grieve' (*mā śucaḥ*) bring relief to someone carrying the weight of guilt, failure, and anxiety?

सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज
Abandoning all dharmas means rising above the sense of agency and duality associated with righteous and unrighteous acts. One must realize: 'I am the actionless Atman, which is neither the doer nor the enjoyer.' Realization of the Self is the ultimate refuge that destroys all sins.
