Verse 4.6 : Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga "Path of Knowledge & Action"
Verse 6 of 42
“
The Translation
“Although I am unborn, and My transcendental body never decays, and although I am the Lord of all living beings, yet, established in My own nature, I manifest Myself by My own divine energy.”
Commentary & Insights
Krishna explains the nature of His incarnation (Avatar), explaining how He manifests in the world using His own cosmic energy (Maya) while remaining divine and imperishable.
Practical Application
1
Identify a mental habit (like negative self-talk) today. Instead of being controlled by it, 'preside' over it—observe it objectively and choose a different response.

Self-Reflection Prompts
- What is the difference between a puppet controlled by strings (us under karma) and the puppeteer (God using Maya)?
- How can we connect with the 'unborn, unchanging' part of our own consciousness?

Shankara explains that Krishna's body is made of pure Sattva, and His birth is an illusion (Maya) projected for the welfare of the world. He does not take a material body made of five elements like ours.
