“O subduer of enemies, the sacrifice of knowledge is superior to the sacrifice of material possessions. O Partha, all actions in their entirety culminate in wisdom.”

Material sacrifices produce limited, temporary results in heaven. Knowledge sacrifice, which is the inquiry into the non-dual Self, destroys ignorance permanently and leads directly to liberation.
