“What is action? What is inaction? Even the wise are bewildered on this point. I shall explain to you that action, knowing which you shall be liberated from all evil.”

किं कर्म किमकर्मेति कवयोऽप्यत्र मोहिताः
Shankara explains that action and inaction are not simple physical movements. A person sitting completely still might be mentally active (binding action), while a person working hard might be internally detached (liberating inaction). This requires deep discrimination.
