सत्त्वानुरूपा सर्वस्य श्रद्धा भवति भारत | श्रद्धामयोऽयं पुरुषो यो यच्छ्रद्धःएव सः ||१७-३||
sattvānurūpā sarvasya śraddhā bhavati bhārata . śraddhāmayo.ayaṃ puruṣo yo yacchraddhaḥ sa eva saḥ ||17-3||

The Translation

“The faith of each person is in accordance with their natural character, O Bharata. A person is made of their faith; whatever their faith is, that indeed they are.”

Commentary & Insights

Krishna makes one of the most profound statements on human psychology in the entire Gita. In the Vedic view, the human being is not merely a physical body or a collection of thoughts, but a consciousness shaped by its deepest convictions (śraddhā).
