The Translation
“'OM TAT SAT'—this is declared to be the threefold designation of Brahman. By this, the priests, the Vedas, and the sacrifices were ordained in the ancient past.”

ॐतत्सदिति निर्देशो ब्रह्मणस्त्रिविधः स्मृतः
Shankara comments that 'OM TAT SAT' is a formula to correct and purify imperfect actions. Even if a sacrifice or charity lacks perfect execution, chanting this formula links it back to the supreme Brahman, neutralizing any defects in the Gunas. It represents the non-dual essence.
