“Know that all living beings are born of these two natures. I am the origin and the dissolution of the entire creation.”

Since the two natures (conscious and unconscious) make up the entire world, and since both are powers of the Lord (Ishvara), the Lord is the ultimate material and efficient cause of the universe.
