Self-Reflection Prompts
- How does this verse show the democratic, equalizing power of Bhakti? How can we apply this spirit of universal inclusion in our modern communities?
- If class, gender, and birth are merely temporary characteristics of the physical body (*adhibhūta*), why should they limit the progress of the eternal soul (*adhyātmam*)?

9.32
मां हि पार्थ व्यपाश्रित्य येऽपि स्युः पापयोनयः
The Self (Atman) has no gender, no class, and no birth. The distinctions of caste and gender belong only to the physical body and social roles. For the seeker of liberation, the only requirement is taking complete refuge in the Self, which is open to all.
