“Then, one should seek that goal, having reached which they never return again, and surrender to that Primeval Purusha from whom streamed forth this ancient creation.”

ततः पदं तत्परिमार्गितव्यं
यस्मिन्गता न निवर्तन्ति भूयः
Shankara interprets 'pada' as the state of Vishnu, which is identical to Brahman. The seeker must seek this state through constant meditation, saying: 'I take refuge in that Primeval Purusha who is the Self of all.'
