गामाविश्य च भूतानि धारयाम्यहमोजसा
Shankara comments that the Lord's power keeps the heavy earth from falling in space, thus sustaining all creatures. As Soma (the moon, which is the repository of all sap and life-giving juices), He infuses plants and crops with their respective flavors and health properties.
