शरीरं यदवाप्नोति यच्चाप्युत्क्रामतीश्वरः
Shankara comments that the Jiva is called 'īśvaraḥ' here because it is the master of the aggregate of body and senses. When departing from the body, it draws the five senses and the mind from their seats and carries them, just as the wind carries smell from flowers without physically moving the flowers themselves.
