The Translation
“O Partha, there is no duty prescribed for Me in all the three worlds, nor is there anything unobtained to be obtained by Me; yet, I continue to be engaged in action.”
Commentary & Insights
Krishna presents Himself as an example to Arjuna. As the Supreme Lord, He has no unfulfilled desires, no self-interest, and no personal duties in the three worlds, yet He continues to actively engage in work.

न मे पार्थास्ति कर्तव्यं त्रिषु लोकेषु किञ्चन
Shankara explains that Krishna's action is an act of grace. The Supreme Lord does not gain anything from creation, but He acts to show the path of righteousness to humanity.
