Self-Reflection Prompts
- Do you ever experience 'restlessness' (aśamaḥ) where you feel guilty or anxious if you are not working? How can you calm this rajasic urge?
- How is 'greed' (lobhaḥ) connected to the mode of passion? How does Rajas prevent us from feeling content with what we have?

14.12
लोभः प्रवृत्तिरारम्भः कर्मणामशमः स्पृहा
Lobha is the urge to grab others' properties. Aśamaḥ is the constant agitation of the mind. Spṛhā is the thirst for any pleasure seen or heard. These are the symptoms of increased Rajas, showing that the mind is driven by desires and cannot find rest in the Self.
