अद्वेष्टा सर्वभूतानां मैत्रः करुण एव च
These verses describe the characteristics of a sannyasi (renunciant) who has realized the Self. Since they see the Self in all, they have no reason to hate anyone, even those who harm them. They are friendly and compassionate to all, having dropped the false notions of 'I' and 'mine'.
